Bernice Johnson Tillett received her Divine Promotion on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Mrs. Tillett, a retired DC Public Schools teacher,taught at Elliot and McFarland Junior High Schools and "Teddy" Roosevelt High School. She is survived by her son Stephen, her daughter-in-love, two granddaughters, and two great- grandsons.
